We believe we will see people in our community found in Christ, formed by the Spirit, bringing Heaven to earth.

At Heights Church, we believe that true transformation begins with a profound encounter with Jesus Christ and flourishes through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are dedicated to helping you discover your God-given potential, rooted in the truth of our faith. We're more than just a Sunday gathering—we are a church committed to seeing people found in Christ, formed by the Spirit, bringing heaven to earth, impacting every area of life from our homes to our families and workplaces.

Core Beliefs

We hold fast to the core doctrines of the historically orthodox faith. We can't know God exhaustively, but we can know Him accurately. We're unified in the big stuff, don't make small stuff into big stuff, and make it a mission to clarify which is which through scripture.

Frequently Asked Questions

    God

God is the Creator and Lord of the heavens and the earth. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and eternity and are one God. God is love and God is holy. These truths held in tension give us a balanced view of God the Father.

    Humanity

Man is made in the image of God and we are the ultimate object of His creation. Although we have extraordinary potential for good, at some level we are all impacted by our disobedience towards God called “sin.” Our sin, of any magnitude, separates us from experiencing the love and presence of God.

    Eternity

We were created to exist forever and will either live eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

    Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He entered this world fully God and fully man through a miraculous conception and virgin birth. His life is without sin, which allowed him to voluntarily offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins through death on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return to earth to reign as King of kings, and Lord of lords.

    Salvation

Salvation is a gift from God to man and is received by faith. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. We can only receive salvation from our sin by trusting in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Once we make our confession and commitment to Jesus Christ, all sins are forgiven, our relationship with God is established and eternal life begins. Through our faith in Jesus we were saved, we are saved and we are being saved. We must choose to pick up our cross and follow Jesus daily.

    The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every follower of Christ from the moment of salvation. He provides the believer with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance needed to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. He gives all believers spiritual gifts used to draw them closer to Himself and build up the church. All gifts are in operation today and lead to a balanced community of believers.

    The Church

The Church is God's plan for redemption to the world. We exist to build the Church. Those who receive Jesus Christ make up the one true Church. The Church has been called to action through following the teachings of Jesus Christ. This calling includes, but is not limited to spreading the story of Jesus Christ, building up one another in our faith, and being with and serving the poor, the lonely, and the oppressed. We recognize the believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper as scriptural means of proclaiming the changed life found in Christ.

    THE TRINITY

We believe that there is One true God, the eternally self-existing “I AM”, who has revealed himself to us in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the persons of the Trinity are co-eternal, co-equal, and yet with unique function.

    Scripture

The Bible is composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, is the inspired word of God and without error in the original writing. The Bible was given by God through chosen people and thus reflects the backgrounds, styles, and vocabulary of human writers. The Bible is the full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice; there are no other writings similarly inspired by God. The Bible’s truth is timeless and speaks to our everyday lives.

    MARRIAGE

We believe God has ordained marriage and defined it as a covenant relationship between one man, one woman, and himself. Hence, we only recognize marriage between a biological man and a biological woman. As a result, the pastoral staff of Heights Church will only participate in weddings and the solemnization of marriages between one man and one woman.

Hi! We’re Seth

Lead Pastors, Heights Church

Thank you for taking a minute to check out Heights! We know it can be a big step to try a new church, especially if you're not sure what to expect, so we just wanted to introduce ourselves.

Our journey to plant Heights Church started in 2023 with a clear and unexpected call from God. After spending years serving in the local church in Phoenix, Arizona, we felt a deep sense that God was leading us somewhere new or, in our case, somewhere familiar. That led us back to Hendersonville, Tennessee, the same town where Seth was born and raised, and where his parents once planted a church themselves.

Coming back home has been powerful. It’s more than just a move, it’s been a full-circle moment of redemption and purpose. We believe God has called us here to be part of what He wants to do in this city, to bring spiritual renewal and to create a space where people can genuinely encounter Jesus.

At Heights, we want to build the kind of church that helps people connect deeply with God, grow in their faith, and live it out in their everyday lives. Whether you’re new to church, coming back after some time away, or just longing for something more, we’ve got a seat for you. We’re building a church where the Holy Spirit is welcome, lives are being transformed, and people are equipped to live out the purpose God has put inside them, not just on Sundays, but every day of the week.

We’d love to get to know you, hear your story, answer your questions, or just grab coffee sometime. If there’s anything we can do or anything you’re curious about, don’t hesitate to reach out.

We’re just getting started, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!

With love,
